ballymena united - matchday & ticketing faq

How much are tickets for a Ballymena United game?

Adult admission is £15 Concessions (over 65s and under 18s) are [£10], and primary school children are [£3]. Prices are the same for all league fixtures; any cup games that are priced differently and will be confirmed in advance on our website and social channels.

The best value for money for regular supporters is purchasing a Season Ticket, which unlocks benefits under our ‘United Together’ scheme.


Where do I buy tickets?

All tickets are sold through TicketCo, our official ticketing partner. You can buy online at  https://ballymenaunited.ticketco.shop in advance, or on your phone at the ground. Buying in advance is quicker and means you can walk straight to the turnstile.


Can I pay cash at the turnstile on the day?

Yes, cash is accepted at the signposted ticket booth outside the turnstiles where all supporters will be required to purchase a match ticket to enter into the stadium. We'd still recommend buying in advance, particularly for high-attendance fixtures.


What time does the game kick off?

Most league fixtures kick off at 3.00pm on a Saturday and any midweek games are usually 7.45pm. Kick-off times change regularly for TV coverage and cup scheduling, so always check the fixture listing on our website or our social channels in the week of the game.


Where is the ground and what's the address?

Ballymena Showgrounds, St Patrick's Barracks Link Rd, Ballymena BT43 7FU


Where can I park?

There is lots of free parking is available on-site at the Ballymena Showgrounds parking area located off both Warden Street (opposition supporters) and St. Patrick's Link Road (for Ballymena United supporters). 


How do I get there by public transport?

Ballymena bus and rail station is on Galgorm Road, roughly 20 minutes' walk from the ground. Translink services run from Belfast Grand Central to Ballymena in around 50 minutes. 


What do I do with my ticket when I get there?

Your TicketCo ticket is a QR code, delivered by email and stored in the TicketCo app or your phone's wallet. Show the QR code at the turnstile and it'll be scanned. Screenshots work fine, and so does a printed copy. Download your ticket before you travel in case mobile signal is poor at the ground.


Which turnstile/stand do I use, and is seating allocated?

Home supporters use the signposted turnstiles on St Patrick’s Link entrance for the Norman McBurney MBE (home) Stand. For the majority of matches, seating in the Norman McBurney MBE Stand is unreserved but we recommend to arrive 20–30 minutes before kick-off to sit where you'd like. 


Do I need to buy in advance, or can I just turn up?

For the majority of league fixtures you can turn up on the day. For high profile games, we'd strongly recommend buying in advance as these can sell out. We'll always flag it clearly in advance if a game is expected to be busy or is all-ticket.


Are children's tickets available, and what's the age limit?

Under-16s pay £10, Under-12’s pay £3. Anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult over 18.


How much is a season ticket and what do I get?

Season tickets are available from £190 for adult, £120 for senior citizen, £40 under-18, covering all home league fixtures. Our United, Together season ticket includes seven key benefits. Season tickets are available at https://ballymenaunited.ticketco.shop and typically go on sale in June each year, and there is option to pay in installments.


Beneifts include: Up to 79% discount on buying individual match tickets, 10% Discount at the club shop (in store only), 10% Discount at the Sky Blue bar, Priority access to away tickets and cup finals, Exclusive invites to season ticket only events, 20% Discount on Corporate Dinner tickets and Exclusive Season Ticket Holder Competitions


Can I bring my season ticket on my phone?

Yes. Your season ticket is issued through TicketCo and scans from your phone at the turnstile from your digital wallet. However, there is an option to purchase a physical card for your season ticket if you prefer.


Where do away fans go, and how do away tickets work?

Away supporters are accommodated in the Warden Street Stand, accessed via the turnstiles on Warden Street. Away tickets are the same price as home tickets and available online and also on the day. Away fans should park in the designated carpark at Warden Street.


Is the ground accessible for disabled supporters?

Yes, there are dedicated accessibility seats for all disabled supporters as well as elevators to assist in access to these seats.


Is there food and drink available inside the ground?

Yes. Our club shops in both the home and away sides serves hot food, hot drinks, snacks and soft drinks from one hour  before kick-off. Card and cash both accepted.


Is alcohol sold or permitted?

Yes, supporters can purchase alcohol at the Sky Blue Bar within the Des Allen Suite in the Norman McBurney MBE stand from one hour before kick-off. The Sky Blue Bar is open throughout the match with a panoramic view of the pitch from within.


Is the ground covered? What if it rains?

All seats of the ground are covered, but remember it's Northern Ireland... bring a coat.


What happens if the game is postponed?

If a fixture is postponed, we'll announce it on our website, social channels and WhatsApp channel as soon as the decision is made. Tickets bought in advance are valid for the rearranged fixture.


I've never been to a game before — what should I expect?

arrive 20–30 minutes early, what the atmosphere is like, that it's family-friendly, roughly on average 1,600+ supporters attend a typical league game, the match lasts about two hours including half-time, and there's no dress code beyond something warm – but be sure to buy a sky blue scarf at the . There are designated matchday stewards to assist with your enjoyment and safety during your visit to the club.


Can I bring a bag?

Small bags are permitted and subject to search. 


Are dogs allowed?

Assistance dogs certainly, general dogs are not.


Can I take photos or video?

Supporters are welcome to take photos and video for personal use. Professional equipment requires accreditation — media enquiries to football@ballymenaunitedfc.com


Is the ground cashless?

No, all the points of sale within the ground now accept both cash and card.


Can I buy a ticket for someone else / transfer my ticket?

Yes. TicketCo tickets can be forwarded by email, and season ticket holders can transfer their ticket to a friend for a specific fixture.


I've lost my ticket / it hasn't arrived. What do I do?

Check your junk folder first, then log in to TicketCo at https://ballymenaunited.ticketco.shop where all your tickets are stored. If it's still missing, contact tickets@ballymenaunitedfc.com and we'll resend it. 


Do you offer group or school bookings?

Yes we welcome clubs, schools and youth groups. To enquire about your group contact [Michael Balmer, Ticketing Lead at tickets@ballymenaunitedfc.com] at least seven days before the fixture.


Is there hospitality or matchday sponsorship available?

Yes, the club regularly hosts pre-match corporate lunches. Enquiries to commercial@ballymenaunitedfc.com


Are there toilets and baby-changing facilities?

Yes, our toilets are award winning (genuinely!) to meet all your needs.


Is there a club shop, and when is it open?

Club shop is open one hour before kick off underneath the Norman McBurney MBE Stand. All merchandise is also available online from https://www.skyblue-superstore.com
