Cliftonville: |
The Reds started the league campaign with a 1-0 home defeat of Glentoran, followed by a 1-0 away defeat to Crusaders. Since then, they've won 2 and lost 2, leaving them 4th in the Danske Bank Premiership table with 9 points. |
Ballymena United: |
Like Cliftonville, United won their first game in the league 1-0, away to Coleraine, but went on to lose the next 4 and were perilously close to the bottom of the table. Thankfully the first home win of the season came on Saturday afternoon, a 2-0 win thanks to goals from Cathair Friel and Paul McElroy enough to lift the Sky Blues up into 7th place with 6 points. |
