BALLYMENA United host Loughgall on Saturday 16th September in the Sports Direct Premiership.

The last meeting between the sides was in the first round of the Samuel Gelston's Whiskey Irish Cup in January 2022, United running out 2-0 winners thanks to goals from Chris Rodgers and Andrew McGrory.

After being relegated from the top flight at the end of the 2006/07 season, Loughgall were promoted back into the Sports Direct Premiership after winning the Lough 41 Championship last season.
They've won 2, drawn 2 and lost 2 of their league games, and now sit 6th in the Sports Direct Premiership, 2 points behind Cliftonville and ahead of Coleraine on goal difference.
They also won their first round tie against Valley Rangers 6-1 at Lakeview Park at the start of September.

After an incredibly tough start to the season, losing their first 6 league games and going out of the Toals Co Antrim Shield in the first round with defeat to Knockbreda, the Sky Blues finally got their first win of the season last Saturday with a 1-0 win at Carrick Rangers.
United remain bottom of the league table, but are now a single point behind 11th placed Glenavon.
