Linfield:
After a great run in European competition at the start of the season, Linfield have won 6 and drew 5 of 11 league games and sit in 3rd place, 6 points behind leaders Cliftonville with a game in hand.

In the Toals Co Antrim Shield, Linfield beat Ards 1-0 and Dundela 6-1 both at home and will face Cliftonville in December at Solitude.

Linfield have made to the quarter-finals of the BetMcLean League Cup with a 4-0 defeat of Ballyclare Comrades away from home and an 11-0 home win over PSNI last Tuesday night.
Ballymena United:
With the same number of games played, United have won 4, drawn 1 and lost 6 of their league games. They currently sit 8th in the league, a single point behind Carrick Rangers and 3 points clear of Glenavon, who they beat at Mourneview on Saturday.

After overcoming Harland & Wolff Welders with a 2-0 victory, Larne were far too hot to handle for the Sky Blues in the quarter-final, losing 4-0.

A 4-2 win away from home over Annagh United and a 3-2 win after extra-time over Crusaders at Seaview has put Ballymena into this incredibly tough BetMcLean League Cup Quarter-Final.

It's always difficult facing Linfield, with wins over the Belfast side few and far between, but there's nothing to stop a repeat of the scoreline late last season when United won 2-1 with Conor Keeley grabbing both goals. A draw away to Portadown will have been disappointing for the Blues, while a narrow win over Glenavon at Mourneview might just be enough to inspire the Braidmen. Make your way to the Showgrounds and be loud and proud in support of YOUR team - Come On Sky Blues!
