BALLYMENA United host Crusaders, in the first of two consecutive games between the sides in a week, on Saturday afternoon.
The last meeting between the sides was in April last season, a single Aidan Wilson goal giving the Crues all 3 points and ending a run of 10 games unbeaten from the Sky Blues.

Crusaders:
Crusaders started the season with a 2-0 defeat to Linfield away from home, but have improved greatly since then, winning 3 home league games, drawing with Cliftonville at home in the North Belfast derby, and losing 2-0 at home to Coleraine on Monday evening. They sit 7th in the league with 10 points, 2 behind Glentoran with a game in hand.

They also made it through the opening rounds of the Toals Co Antrim Shield with a 4-0 win over Newington and the BetMcLean League Cup with a 5-0 win over Moyola Park. The third round of the league cup sees them host Ballymena United on Wednesday evening.
Ballymena United:
Expectations amongst Ballymena United fans are currently very low after a poor start to the season which shows no sign of letting up. It took 3 league game to get their first point on the board with a 1-1 draw against Glenavon, and it was their 5th league game which gave them their first league win, all other 4 games defeats. With just 4 points on the board, United sit in 9th place, just 1 point from the bottom of the table.

Relief has came from wins in the opening rounds of the Toals Co Antrim Shield with a 2-0 win over Harland & Wolff Welders and a 4-2 defeat of Annagh United in the BetMcLean League Cup. It's fair to say the draws for the next rounds in either competition weren't kind to the Sky Blues, throwing up Crusaders in the league cup and Larne in the Toals Co Antrim Shield.
