Annagh United Match Preview

BALLYMENA United travel to Portadown to face Annagh United in the second round of the BetMcLean League Cup on Tuesday evening.
This is the first competitive game between the sides and could prove tricky given our start to the season.
Annagh United:
Annagh United were successfully promoted into the NIFL Championship 1 for the 2015/16 season, dropping back down to Championship 2 level after just 2 seasons. They managed to gain promotion back to Championship 1 after the 2019/20 season was curtailed and they finished top of the table.

They currently sit 3rd in the Lough 41 Championship with 4 wins, 1 draw and 2 defeats in their campaign so far. They defeated Knockbreda 4-1 in the 1st round of the BetMcLean League Cup to set up the tie with Ballymena United.
Ballymena United:
Ballymena United are yet to register any points in their 2 league games this season, losing the opener 2-1 away to Warrenpoint Town after being a goal up, then going down 4-1 to Glentoran at The Oval last Friday evening.
Match Officials:
Referee: Ben McMaster. Assistant 1: Adam Jeffrey. Assistant 2: David Burns.
Match Information:
Ballymena United fans are asked to enter via the Portadown end turnstiles. Stewards will be there to assist.

Hand sanitisers are available and supporters are encouraged to use and obey guidelines as appropriate.

Admission is £8 for adults and £5 for concessions.

The match kicks off at 7:45pm.
A much improved performance will be required to win this game, despite Annagh United being a tier lower in the Irish League pyramid. As always, we'd appreciate a loud travelling support to help cheer YOUR team on - Come On Sky Blues!
