BALLYMENA United are back in league action as they host Glenavon in the first post-split match on Saturday afternoon.
The last meeting between the sides ended in a 3-2 defeat for the Sky Blues at Mourneview, Glenavon going 2-0 up in the first half before a second half comeback with Jonathan Addis scoring before a Craig Hyland howler made it level, Daniel Purkis scoring a late penalty to take the points.

Following the win over United in April, Glenavon have went on to lose 6-1 away to Crusaders, win 4-3 away to Warrenpoint Town, beat Linfield 3-2 at home in the league, leaving them sitting top of section B in the league, 6 points ahead of Ballymena. Their midweek game at home to Dungannon Swifts in the Sadler's Peaky Blinder Irish Cup ended in a 2-1 defeat.
Ballymena United:
United lost 2-1 away to Linfield and 2-1 at home to Coleraine in the same period and now sit in 2nd place in section B in the league, 6 points behind Glenavon and 16 ahead of Portadown. The midweek game at home to Portadown in the Sadler's Peaky Blinder Irish Cup ended with a 4-1 win thanks to goals from Paul McElroy, Ryan Waide (2) and Seamus McCartan via the penalty spot.
