Linfield Match Preview

BALLYMENA United travel to the National Stadium on Saturday at 5:30pm to face champions and league leaders Linfield in the Danske Bank Premiership.
The latest meeting between the sides was in March, United pulling off a surprise victory over the Blues, two Conor Keeley goals either side of an Andrew Waterworth penalty enough to secure the points at the Showgrounds.

Linfield:
Since the defeat at the Showgrounds, Linfield have went on to win 3 games and, most recently, drew 1-1 away to Larne. The Blues sit 9 points clear of Coleraine at the summit of the Danske Bank Premiership and it's looking very unlikely that anyone will be able to knock them off their perch.
Ballymena United:
In the same period of time, United have won 2 games, lost 2 and drawn 1, their most recent outing last Saturday ending in a 3-2 win for Glenavon at Mourneview despite the Sky Blues coming from 2-0 down to draw level, Daniel Purkis grabbing the vital goal. Now sitting 7th in the league, Ballymena are a point behind Crusaders and level on points with 8th placed Glenavon who have a game in hand.
