BALLYMENA United host Glentoran in the Danske Bank Premiership on Saturday afternoon in their last game before the New Year.
The last time the sides met was in the much delayed Sadler's Peaky Blinder Irish Cup Final in July, Glentoran running out 2-1 winners thanks to a Robbie McDaid goal deep into extra-time after the game had ended 1-1 in normal time.
Recent results against Glentoran (all league unless stated):
Ballymena United 1-1 (1-2 AET) Glentoran, National Stadium, 31st July 2020. (Sadler's Peaky Blinder Irish Cup Final)

Glentoran:
Glentoran have had, by their own standards, a poor start to the season, failing to win in their first five league games, before grabbing two wins within the last three weeks. They sit 7th in the Danske Bank Premiership on 10 points, 2 points behind Warrenpoint Town who they drew 0-0 with midweek and level with both Glenavon and Coleraine on 10 points.
Ballymena United:
After a slow start to the season, the Sky Blues have came good over the past month with 4 wins and a draw helping them to jump up to 4th place in the league on 16 points, 5 behind Crusaders and 3 ahead of Clifontville.
