Ballymena United:
Like Cliftonville, United won their first game in the league 1-0, away to Coleraine, but went on to lose the next 4 and were perilously close to the bottom of the table. Thankfully the first home win of the season came on Saturday afternoon, a 2-0 win thanks to goals from Cathair Friel and Paul McElroy enough to lift the Sky Blues up into 7th place with 6 points.
