Uploaded Monday, 8th Aug, 2022 at 07:38 |
THIS week saw one of our members enjoy a second major £50 of 2022. Ballymena united supporter Jim Gillis (A4601) has been resident in Larne for the past 10 years and pays by standing order. He won £50 in early January and has now enjoyed another major £50 success in early August. |
Back in early January when Jim was enjoying his first win of the year, another Ballymena United supporter who resides away from the Seven Towers, Jim Montgomery (A7402) was joining Sports Bond and signed up by standing order. This week Jim had his first win on Sports Bond with a £10 minor win. Back in Kells a rare but welcome win for the agency of Reid McAuley with member Eileen Millar (A7505). Eileen picks up a £50 major win. Congratulations to Eileen and thanks to Reid for his continued support. Over in Randalstown we had our second lady winner of the week and that was Doreen Wylie (A8322) on the agency of Alastair Shaw. Doreen a previous winner picks up a £10 minor prize. So this week saw no winners in Ballymena area. After the £300 jackpot won by Declan O'Boyle last week the jackpot returned to £100 and was not won with the jackpot numbers 1, 7, 9, and 21. Agents News |
Sports Bond and Ballymena united were stunned by the sudden passing of Derek Greer. A lifelong Ballymena United supporter Derek was a Sports Bond member on the agency at the Horse n Jockey run by Francine Warwick. Derek had a number of interests Ballymena United, Ballymena Bowling club and Ballymena Young Conquerors Flute Band. All three were well represented at the funeral service in First Ballymena on Saturday as were fellow Sports Bond members at the Horse n Jockey. We would like to express our deepest sympathy to his twin brother Dennis, and brothers Len and Charlie. We also extend our deepest sympathy to Sports Bond member Bobby McLaughlin who was recently bereaved of his wife Margaret. Bobby has been a Sports Bond member since inception. Sports Bond member and former agent Boyd Douglas has had a very difficult week and has been hospitalized on a couple of occasions. He is now resting at home and we extend our best wishes to Boyd and family at this testing time. A big birthday celebration for Phyllis Galloway, a member on Janice Christie's agency who was 93 on Sunday. We believe Phyllis is our oldest member. Not far behind is Maurice Gibson who celebrated his 89th birthday last week. Celebrations in the Wylie household as Vonla celebrates her birthday on Monday August 8th. |
