THE 31 year old centre half returned to his hometown club last summer, adding 17 appearances to bring his Sky Blue total above the 50 mark during the season.
Manager David Jeffrey praised and gave our best wishes to him, "Christopher has asked to be released from his contract and we have agreed to this. His own circumstances have changed and with the addition of a new child and other competing priorities he wants a bit of time out for himself. We had a good conversation and we fully understand and support his decision.
Chris is a most professional young man and represents his club with great pride, it was a privilege to see and work with someone who works to such high standards. He will not be a stranger to the club, this is his team and he will always be welcome here and we will see him back supporting the team, if that there is not doubt. We give him our very best wishes and grateful thanks."
Chris passed on his own thanks to the manager and supporters, "I want to thank David for the opportunity to come back and play for my hometown club. I wish everyone well going forward and I will definitely be back to take in a few matches."
