More Sports Bond success for Alex
Uploaded Sunday, 13th Dec, 2020 at 22:23

IN UNDER two years Alex Beverland has created an impression of an excellent Sports Bond agent. A passionate Sky blue supporter, Alex answered the call to become a Sports Bond agent and help the club. Alex is responsible for the Ballymoney Road area.
During the summer Alex helped to canvass the new Adair Manor estate and recruited new members. This week one of these new members Alice Campbell (A1868) was a £50 major winner, her first win. So congratulations to Alice and well done to Alex for his great work. Out in Ahoghill Ann Purkess (A8935) was also a £50 major winner. Now Ann had been a Sports Bond member previously and rejoined in August when canvassed. That has proved to be a good decision and we are delighted that Ann has won and so is her agent Maurice Anderson. Maybe the issue of new numbers has been fortunate for Ann. Anyway congratulations to Ann and as always more great work from Maurice.

Our minor £10 winners this week are well known and respected Ballymena United Supporters. Out in Cloughmills on the agency of Robert Logan, George Forsythe (B4823) was a £10 winner. The other winner was a man who may still have the most wins for a male member and he's a member on two agencies as well! Better known as W J McLaughlin (B6207) the gentlemen has been supporting the Sky Blues all his life, through good times and bad. He commands total respect from the Ballymena faithful. This time he was a winner on Janice Christie's agency but he is also a member on that of the Seven Towers. No doubt there are many more wins for Willie John!

A rising jackpot of £400 can be won this week as no member won with the numbers 2, 13, 19, and 25.
Agents News
Sympathy is extended to our member Christine Holmes who sadly lost her mother this past week. Christine is a member on Maurice Anderson's agency.
Ballymena United Calendar 2021
The 2021 Calendar goes on distribution this week. On Friday Brian Thompson will be in the Tower centre on the Primary Mall. So if you want to purchase a calendar get along on Friday. Due To Covid there is a slightly reduced print run so if you want to be sure of a copy please reserve yours by contacting Brian Thompson on 07831 803970 or email brian_thompson2@btconnect.com. Thanks to Evan Logan we have some great action shots of your heroes. There are features on the Irish Cup semi-final and final and features on the youth academy and ladies team.

Of course no club is complete without its supporters and as ever there are many featured in the Calendar. Maybe you are one of those featured, you will never know unless you purchase one. Calendars will be also on sale at the Glentoran game and of course on Boxing Day against Coleraine. Again we have to thank George Moore for his input on the supporters front. If you were snapped by George you may be in the calendar. Calendars are priced at £6 or £10 for 2.
