|THE Ballykeel are of Ballymena has had its share of sorrow in recent months. However the area is celebrating the winning of Sports Bond's latest £1000 jackpot for one of its residents.|
|Ann Lowry, also known as Nan to her friends and family, was our latest member to have jackpot success. Ann has been a Sports Bond member for over 15 years originally on the agency of the late Geoff Cooke. Both herself and her late husband Bobby were members. Sadly Bobby passed around 3 years ago but Ann insisted on changing his membership onto her son Stephen. Her Jackpot numbers 14, 19, 21, and 23 ensured that this senior citizen had a very special Halloween celebration. Promoter Brian Thompson said 'we are delighted whenever a member wins a maximum jackpot but when it is a senior citizen it is a terrific feeling for all connected to Sports Bond, agents and members. In these difficult times we are all looking for a good news story and this is most certainly one .'|

In the Major winner category there was a first time win for Carolyn Lorimer (A0662). Carolyn is a member on Maurice Anderson's agency and has been a member for just over two years. Congratulations to Carolyn and hope you have many more. Whilst it was Carolyn's first win, for Deborah Thompson (A8051) it was her second in 2 months, as Deborah won at the end of September and repeated the feat this month as well.
This week saw great success for lady members however in the £10 minor category two well known Sky Blue supporters picked up a win. On the Development committee agency Stephen Alexander (A6181) was a winner while Sammy Bones (A7215) was also a £10 winner on the agency of Patricia Thompson.

Sports Bond were saddened to learn of the passing of sky blue supporter Sid Irons. Sid was a former Sports Bond agent in the early years of Sports Bond when he was living in Maghera and ran a friends and family agency. He was also a brother to Margaret Boyd who has been a great sports Bond supporter over the years as agent and member. To the family we extend our sympathy.
Belated birthday greetings to Mark Wylie. We now have all the Wylie family birthdays sussed so hopefully we won't miss out next year.
