|IN recent weeks we have seen great success for lady members and their success continued this week. However this week was marked by the success of lady agents.|
In Portglenone sports Bond agent had a £50 major winner with James McCarry (A8678). This is James's second £50 win this year as he won back in the spring pre-lockdown. Back in Ballymena Sports Bond agent Janice Martin (A4148) had a £50 Major winner with her good friend Kim Cochrane.
Maurice Anderson had double success with Two £10 minor winners who were Jonathan Colhoun (A4518) and Liz O'Neill (A9447).
A very healthy £800 is on offer this week as the jackpot numbers of 4 11 20 23 were not allocated. Could it be another guaranteed £1000 jackpot in a few weeks time or will it be won this week? Remember if you are not a member you can't win so join now on 07831 803970.
Congratulations to sports Bond member Mary Galbraith and her husband Frank On celebrating their Golden wedding anniversary last week. Mary is a member on Maurice Anderson agency.
Best wishes to Mary McLaughlin, mother of Sports Bond agent Janice Christie, who had a nasty fall last week. We hope Mary is up and about soon again.
We also send best wishes to Sky blue fan and Sports Bond member Des Reid who is recovering from illness.
|Sports Bond was saddened to learn of the passing of Sports Bond member Derek McCully. Derek and his late wife Jean had been Sports Bond members for many years. Originally from Bangor Derek had a long and distinguished career as a senior engineer with Gallahers. He even spent some years with the company in Wales before coming to Ballymena in 1977. After his family Derek was a great sports enthusiast with football, rugby and particularly golf high spots of interest. Sadly Derek fell victim to motor neurone disease in recent years and became confined to his home. However his friends managed to get him to see The Open course at Royal Portrush last year which was a big highlight for Derek. Sports Bond Promoter Brian Thompson called regularly with Derek and commented 'I looked forward to my chats with Derek as he was full of stories from his life experience and a great sports lover. He valiantly and courageously fought this evil debilitating disease. May I extend my sincerest sympathy to his sons Ian and Stephen and their families. He will be greatly missed by his many friends.'|
