Over the years Sports Bond has enjoyed some unique stories. With the current Covid 19 pandemic Sports Bond was suspended for 14 weeks.
In the last weekly draw before lockdown Marie Mitchell of Antrim was a £50 winner and in the first weekly draw since it was reinstalled Sports Bond saw Marie Mitchell (B0686) win another £50 major prize! Marie was delighted when told of her success by her agent Alastair Shaw. Agent of the week however belonged to David Brown who had a major £50 winner with Sydney McKeown (A9453) and a £10 winner with Bryan Donnelly (A6501). In Kells James Gregg (B8004) was a £10 winner on the agency of Andrew Boyd.
No Jackpot was allocated with the numbers 1, 4, 6 and 19 and so a £200 Jackpot is now on offer.
So the first weekly draw after lockdown was completed and Sports Bond is back. Whilst some agents are still not operational due to Covid 19 restrictions we are delighted to be back. Sports Bond Promoter Brian Thompson commented, "The recent lockdown did create an unusual scenario when we undertook the first draw we did not realise we had been away for 14 weeks not 12 weeks as we thought, however we are delighted to be out and about seeing our members and would ask for new members to come forward." Sports Bond back is another step back to normality!
Best wishes to Sports Bond member Adrienne Watson who had a terrible fall recently and is receiving physiotherapy for a bad shoulder injury. All at Sports Bond are wishing you a speedy recovery.
Congratulations to a couple of members who are celebrating their anniversaries in recent days, Mark and Stacey Bates and Darren and Jenny Walker. These are members on Maurice Anderson's agency.
We would also acknowledge Alex and Marlene Graham who are having a difficult and traumatic time. To both of them we send our best wishes and keep them in our thoughts at this time.

"Shave" of Hope
Over the past few years Ballymena United's Sales and Marketing Executive has completed over 20 charity walks for Bravehearts NI. During the lockdown, like quite a few men, Brian grew a beard. Now he is offering to shave it off for donations or sponsorship for Bravehearts NI. With barbers and hairdressers opening up this week an opportunity has created itself. To pledge a donation to Bravehearts phone 07831 803970 or contact the Bravehearts facebook page. Brian commented, many would love to have the opportunity of using a cutthroat razor on me!
