A FEW weeks ago we were celebrating former Sky blues player Stephen Young success at winning a £50 major prize on Sports Bond.
This week saw another Ballymena United favourite John Garrett(A3941) also won a £50 major prize. John still attends many Ballymena fixtures. His late brother Campbell was a Sports Bond agent for over 15 years. As a former player we are delighted to have him as a member.
Up in Clough sky blue supporter Davy McAuley (A8488)is celebrating another £50 win. This was Davy's second £50 win since joining earlier in February. Over in Cullybackey it was also another win for Helen Lynn (A9500). Helen is one of four members of the Moby Chip on Main Street who are Sports Bond members. Helen is a yearly payer.
In the minor section there was another win for George McCullough (A9701). At the Blackstone we believe it is a first win for Christine Simpson (A9504). Richard Donnelly (A5672) was a £10 winner on the agency of David Brown.
Meanwhile the jackpot is still rising with no member winning with the no's 6, 12, 21 and 26. Join Sports Bond on 07831 803970.
Congratulations to Sports Bond agent Josephine Gillen at the Hawthorn Inn last weekend. Jo completed a 66 mile cycle ride from Portglenone to Bushmills and returning via Portrush and Coleraine.
Congratulations also to Derek McCully a Sports Bond member for many years, who celebrated his 80th birthday with a big family get together.
The first score winner at Inver Park on Saturday was Richard Russell. Who will ever forget Jonny Addis' spectacular opening goal which was recorded at 5 mins 18 sec (6mins). Richard, a previous winner in past seasons, picked up £30.
Walk of Hope
On Saturday Brian Thompson completed another Walk of Hope for BraveheartsNI. This was his 18th to an Irish league Ground and 20th in total. 'I had a great walk on this occasion - when I saw the sea after coming over Shane's Hill it was a marvellous feeling just like a kid experiencing his first trip to the coast.' commented Brian.
Thanks to the wonderful Fitzpatrick family who helped me collect in Larne town centre and to Larne football club who generously held a collection for me at half time. Of course I wish to thank all the Ballymena supporters for their continued support it was fantastic.
