Janice has more family success on Sports Bond
Uploaded Monday, 21st Aug, 2023 at 06:26

FOR over five years Janice Crawford was the person who ensured the Sports Bond draw was completed each week.
As Sports Bond administrator she was responsible for checking all agents returns and completing the draw. However after stepping away from the role she has continued to run a friends and family agency and this week her son Gareth Crawford (B7040) was a £50 major winner. It was somewhat ordained that Janice would have a role at Ballymena United as she comes from a great Sky Blue supporting family. She recently took in the Crusaders game with her father William Douglas and her brother Gary is a regular at games even though he now lives in Craigavon. Last week she had a minor winner with fried Kim Cochrane and this week it was a major winner with Gareth. Thanks Janice for all your support over the years.

A first major win for Cecil Jones (A8862) in Ballykeel. Cecil has been a multiple minor £10 winner in the past but this is his first major success. Cecil is a member on the agency of Brett Thompson who also had a £10 minor success with Anthony McCartney (A6105) who has also been a previous winner.

Congratulations to Kathy Aiken (A5701) who has had a first win with a £10 minor success. Kathy, a half yearly payer, has been a member for a few years and we hope she has more success soon.

In Cullybackey Lisa Marie Donnelly (A6105) was a £10 minor winner on the agency of Julie Moore.

The jackpot for this week is £500 as the jackpot numbers of 4, 10, 16, and 24 were not allocated and so we are half way on our journey to a guaranteed £1000.

Agents News
A big Happy Birthday to Sports Bond agent Maurice Anderson who celebrates a birthday on Tuesday. Maurice is fantastic in recording most of his members birthdays so it is very fitting that we acknowledge his own big day. As we know Maurice is currently on a month long course of treatment. Things are progressing well and Maurice in his words is 'over the hill and is on the backward slope'.

Sports Bond member Cecil Jones was recently in hospital but was in a more cheery disposition when he heard he was a £50 major winner.
First Score
Lots of First Score winners this past week. Firstly another winner was found for the Community Shield and that was Brian Kelly (77 mins) who bought his winning card from David Armstrong.

At Inver Park on Tuesday evening it was Youth Academy Chairman John Anderson who had a 48 minutes winning card. Now John like a few patrons of First Score has a ritual where he buys two tickets 'one from the top and one from the bottom'. What the winning ticket was we do not know but it worked as John picked up £30.

At the match with Linfield on Friday evening we had two winners who had a 83 minute winning scratchcard. They were Tyler Clarke and Carol Leggett who both collected £30. Both are now on a possible double up £60 if they win again this season and then a possible complimentary season ticket.

Lastly we have one winner at the time of going to press for the Women's World Cup final between England and Spain. The winning time of 29 minutes was claimed by Janette Forsyth, sister of Sports Bond agent David Brown. Janette has been a winner on First Score before so thanks to all for their support.
