Sports Bond success at Charlie's
Uploaded Monday, 1st May, 2023 at 07:01

OVER the years Charlie Havelin has been a great supporter of Sports Bond. For many years he ran a Sports Bond agency when he was manager of the Michelin Sports and Social Club.
Then when he took over as proprietor of Charlie's Bar on William Street he continued with his Sports Bond agency there. This week Charlie Havelin (B5431) was a £50 major winner on his own agency. The bar are also great supporters of First Score and will have a bumper amount of scratchcards for the Irish Cup final. Congratulations to Charlie and thanks to all the patrons of the Bar for their support.

Sky Blue fan Billy Scott (B4207) was a £50 major winner this week on the agency of Alastair Shaw. Alastair is recuperating from recent surgery and it is to his credit that he is continuing to service his agency.

The three £10 minor winners this week were Roy Montgomery (A0315) who pays by standing order, Davy Gordon (B4063) on the agency of Josephin Gillen at the Hawthorn Inn and Andy Davison (A5267) on the agency of Maurice Anderson.

No jackpot was allocated with the numbers 7, 17, 22, and 27 and the jackpot for this week is £650.

Agents News
Our deepest sympathy is extended to Sports Bond agent Janice Christie and her husband Colin Christie on the sudden passing of Colin's father Hubert Christie. We also extend our sympathy to the wider Christie family.

Belated birthday greetings are sent to two members of Janice's agency, her father Willy John McLaughlin and daughter Rebecca Power.

Maurice Anderson has two birthday celebrations on his agency Mary Herron this Saturday and Joan Rock on Next Sunday.

Also celebrating a significant birthday on May 8th will be Benny McGarry who turns 85 on that date.

Sports Bond accountant Bill Parkinson and wife Joan are off to London to see the Coronation as is Sports Bond member Ann Bruce. We hope they all enjoy this very special occasion.
