Cliftonville MATCH REPORT

Maurice starts the New Year with more Sports Bond success
Uploaded Monday, 9th Jan, 2023 at 08:13

THE first Sports Bond draw of 2023 had a familiar feel to it for one of our Sports Bond agents.
In the month of December 2022 Maurice Anderson had a £1000 jackpot win and in the last 3 weeks had a £50 major winner. Maurice made it four in a row when one of his members William McCombe (A3847) was a £50 major winner in the draw. It was a first £50 win for William.

It was also a first major win for Ballymena United supporter Rab McConaghy (A2274). Rab, who is Belfast based, pays his membership by standing order.

In the £10 minor section all the winners were previous winners. The were Wallace Barkley (B9027), Agnes McKeown (A0932) and Paul Bleakley (A1773). No jackpot was recorded with the numbers 3, 4, 13, and 24. The jackpot for this week is £300 in 2023 make a resolution and join Sports Bond on 07831 803970.
Agents News
Sports Bond and Ballymena United were deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Robert (Roy) Stirling. Roy was the father of George Stirling, proprietor of the Moby Chip in Cullybackey. Roy passed away after a courageous battle against illness over the past year. George and his staff at the Moby Chip are long standing members of Sports Bond and George has been a prolific sponsor of the club in recent years. To George and his family and brother Robert we send our heartfelt sympathy at this difficult time.

We also send our deepest sympathy to Sports Bond member Davy Gordon, proprietor of The Hawthorn Inn in Portglenone. Davy was bereaved of his wife Brigid. We also extend our sympathy to their sons and their families.

Sports Bond also extends our deepest sympathy to Sports Bond member Mary Galbraith who was bereaved of her husband Frank after a short illness Mary is a member on Maurice Anderson's agency. This has not been a good start to the new year for these families and we will remember them in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.

However on a different note we are delighted that Sports Bond member and Sky Blue supporter Trevor Armstrong has undergone surgery and has now returned home. We hope that his recuperation is successful and he is back at the Showgrounds soon.
First Score
The winning time at Taylors Avenue on Saturday was 69 minutes. As yet, we have no claims. If you hold a 69 minute scratchcard then contact Brian Thompson on 07831 803970.

On Tuesday First Score will be at The Oval for the replay of the match abandoned in the Autumn. On this occasion £20 will be added to the normal £30 to make a First Score of £50, in the light of the cancellation of the previous First Score. Should the winner be a previous winner this season then that person will receive a double success on the first £30 only.

This year's winner of the New Year Draw was Sam Allen a Stalwart supporter of Ballymena United home and away over the season. The winning ticket was drawn out by Sports Bond agent Margaret Downey.
