Sky Blue legend wins on Sports Bond
Uploaded Monday, 16th Aug, 2021 at 07:05

THROUGHOUT the Sports Bond membership we have a number of former Ballymena United players and this week one of them who can lay claim to being a Sky Blue legend was a £50 major winner.
Alex Donald (A1919) who had a long association with Ballymena as a player, coach, assistant manager and Caretaker Manager, joined the club from Derry City and with wife Ann he made Ballymena his home. He was recently featured in a wonderful article by Johnny Doak in the Ballymena Guardian about his time with Ballymena. His career in football has many great stories and anecdotes. The Donald Family are now represented at the Showgrounds with son Stuart head of youth development and recruitment. However the simple act of supporting the club as a Sports Bond member speaks volumes for his love of the club where he is a true Legend.

The other major winner this week also has strong links to the club. Dawn Galloway (A7264) is the daughter of Vice Chairman and former club secretary Don Stirling. Dawn is a member of Maurice's Anderson agency and became a member exactly a year ago through a canvassing in Thornbrook in Ahoghill. That means Dawn has won all her yearly subscription in her first win on Sports Bond. Congratulations to both Dawn and Alex.

The other £10 minor winners this week are both Ballymena based and are Trevor Alexander (A0050) and Elizabeth McCormick (A4318).

The Jackpot numbers 4, 11, 25, and 28 saw no jackpot allocated and so the jackpot is on the rise for next week. Join Sports Bond now on 07831 803970.
First Score
We mentioned that there may still be a winner out there for the FA Community Shield between Leicester City and Manchester City. We were right as this week we found that winner and it was Helen Lynn at the Moby Chip in Cullybackey. Helen and the staff at the Moby Chip are great supporters of our various promotions and we were delighted to hand over £30 to Helen.

Our next First Score will be the World Cup Qualifier Between Northern Ireland and Switzerland in September. First Score will also be back at all Ballymena United away fixtures this season commencing at the away fixture with Linfield in September.
