Sports Bond is coming home Tommy
Uploaded Monday, 19th Jul, 2021 at 07:52

OVER the years Sports Bond agent Tommy Patterson has always remarked all his family except him win on Sports Bond. Even his dog Max has won more times in recent years than he has!
However all that has changed as Tommy Patterson (A8924) was a £50 major winner last week on Sports Bond. As a take on a popular song goes it's coming home Sports Bond is coming home Tommy.

A major win on the agency of Reid McAuley for Eileen Millar (A9117). Congratulations to Eileen and Reid who has run a friends and family agency in Kells for many years.

Maurice Anderson had both the £10 winners this week. They were Jeff Kyle (A5924) and Richard Deacon (A4082). Both have requested that their winnings be reinvested for the next 10 weeks.

The jackpot numbers of 8, 9, 12, and 26 were not found to belong to any members and so the jackpot is £900 for this week. If it's not won in the next two weeks then we are looking at a guaranteed £1000 jackpot for the start of August a fantastic summer jackpot awaits some member. Join now in time for this fantastic draw if it happens on 07831 803970.
Agents News
Great news on the anniversary front. One of Ballymena United's great supporters Maurice Gibson and wife Annabelle are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary (Diamond). The happy couple had a visit from Sports Bond agent Maurice Anderson, a great friend of the lovely couple was on hand to visit them with a card and gift and bring congratulations on this truly memorable occasion. The happy couple celebrated with daughters Ann and Jenny and son Martin and their families.

Meanwhile in Cullybackey, Tommy and Merle Campbell were celebrating their golden wedding anniversary when they received a visit from Sports Bond promoter Brian Thompson bringing a card and congratulations from Sports Bond and Ballymena United. The couple were married in Donegore Presbyterian Church and their reception was in the Leighinmohr House Hotel. They had four children Audrey, Helen, Neil and Alan. Uniquely July 17th 1971 was also a Saturday. When Brian enquired how Merle had such a unique name there unfolded a fantastic story. Before Merle was born her mother had gone to the 'pictures' as they were called. She saw the legendary film Wuthering heights that starred Laurence Olivier and iconic actress Merle Oberon, and so when a baby girl came along she was called Merle. What a fantastic story recounted Brian, himself a devotee of classic movies. Wuthering Heights 1939 was nominated for 8 Oscar categories.

Sports Bond may be a weekly draw but we look upon it as a family and we take exceptional delight in the achievements of our members and celebrate these great occasions. Birthday greetings to Gary Gordon and Richard McMaster, both Ahoghill Sports Bond members, who are celebrating their birthdays.

Sadly we extend our deepest sympathy to the Mitchell family of Greystones in Antrim. Marie Mitchell recently passed and was a Sports Bond member for many years on the agency of Alastair Shaw.
