Sports Bond win on doctors orders
Uploaded Monday, 18th Jan, 2021 at 10:08

WE have in previous reports lauded the efforts of those of our members who are involved with the NHS.
Of course it's even better when one of these members wins on Sports Bond as it happened this week. Dr Nigel Kyle has been a supporter of the Sky Blues since a boy. Over the years he has followed Ballymena United home and away and some years back at his wedding his best man was Ballymena United Player Aaron Stewart. This week Nigel (A8945) was a £50 major winner and this is Nigel's second major win as his first was at the end of 2019 and he is a standing order payer.

Another non agent member is Valerie Getty (A7759) who has been a member for over a year. Valerie was a £50 major winner this week and we are delighted with her success. Valerie is one of our group of yearly payers.

Joan Wright (A4797) has been a Sports Bond winner on a number of occasions and she won another £10 on the Seven Towers agency of Tommy Patterson. Another previous winner is Chris Wheatley (A8842) and Chris picked up another £10 on the agency of Alex Beverland.

A jackpot of £650 is on offer this week after the numbers 1, 7, 11, and 22 were not allocated.
Agents News
Congratulations to Sports Bond agent Maurice Anderson and wife Pamela who will have a special arrival this week with the arrival of Sykes, a 7 week old beautiful shih tzu pup. Now we already have a couple of canine members surcharging as Frazer and Max and perhaps Sykes may be our next!

Birthday celebration in the Brown household as Sports Bond David was the birthday boy on Saturday last. Hope you had a good time despite lockdown!
New Years Draw
This years first prize was 500 litres of home heating oil sponsored and delivered by McCurdy fuels. Jonathan Downey was the winner and this week McCurdy fuels delivered 500 litres to his home in Portglenone. Many thanks to McCurdy fuels for their continued support for Ballymena United.

Over in Scotland on Tayside Jonathan Anderson took delivery of his Ballymena United goodie bag. Hopefully we will see Jonathan back at the Showgrounds after the pandemic has passed with partner Angela and baby son Matthew.

Norrie McIntyre has also got his Sports Bond cheque and Johnny Smith has received his TM Flooring voucher.

Thanks to all those who were sponsors on what proved with all its challenges a very successful draw.
