Season Tickets News

From queries and conversations over the past 24 hours, the board of Ballymena United feel we need to be clear with supporters of the limitations of the club operating under capacity restrictions due to the current COVID-19 outbreak.
Last season our average attendance was approximately 1,350 persons. Currently we have a maximum capacity this season of 600. This figure also includes having to accommodate coaching staff and substitute in the stand due to distancing measures as well as Board members, media and other officials - it is going to be impossible that everyone will be accommodated, and unfortunately inevitable that people will be disappointed.
We are aware that many season ticket holders have historically purchased their season tickets as individuals. However, with the social distancing measures that are required, if we were to sell only individual season tickets, the maximum capacity for our ground would be in the region of 160 persons. As it stands, the club will operate at a loss in every game, and to have just 160 spectators is just not viable.
Therefore, whilst we will accommodate as many individual season ticket requests as far as we can, the Club cannot allow unlimited numbers and therefore those in larger social bubble numbers will have a priority. Once our allocation of individual season tickets have sold out then we can only sell to bubbles.
We are painfully aware that this may leave some current season ticket holders with no access to a season ticket this season. We hope supporters see that we are in a position where it may be impossible for the Club to meet full demand.
Season ticket sales take place at Stirling Trophies at the following times;
Wednesday 14th October, 6pm-9pm for those renewing season tickets from last season.
Thursday 15th October, 6pm-9pm for new applications (please note we will make a statement online following Wednesday's sales to update Supporters).
Safety measures will strictly be in place, such as hand sanitiser, one person in the shop at a time and face coverings must be worn. We ask that when queuing you maintain social distancing of 2m.
