BALLYMENA United can confirm that Conor Quigley and Ross Lavery have departed following the conclusion of the season.
Quigley, who signed for David Jeffrey in 2018, leaves at the end of his contract, whilst Lavery's contract has been mutually terminated having signed last summer.
The Boss explained after speaking with both players, "Conor was most unfortunate with an injury sustained during our preparations for Europe at Ballyclare last summer. Having been very much part of the squad up until then, he went on to have a tough and challenging last season. His debut for us, away to Ards, particularly stands out to me, and his character, guts and desire led to a deserved two-year contract. No one was more gutted than Bryan and I with his injury, but thankfully he's now back in full training and will do a great job at his next club. He's a professional, and his integrity and character stands out. Like Reece Glendinning, this is a decision heavily influenced by the limitations on squad sizes.
With Ross, I've reluctantly agreed to his request to be released. He had another year on his contract, and rather than transfer list him we felt it was only right that we did the honourable thing and mutually agree to let him leave. Ross talked about the travelling that he had to do from home, and he had a demanding job to commit to a three-hour round trip in reality for every training session.

On saying that, he committed fully to that challenge in the last year - a fabulous young professional, and the integrity to train hard, but the travelling just became too much. We signed him as a versatile player with a good left foot, and whilst maybe he didn't get playing enough football this year we couldn't speak more highly of him, nor have asked more of him in training. It's because of his character and honesty that we've agreed to grant his request and free him up to join another club.

We wish both players the very best as they continue their football journeys."
