Ballymena United appoint new Under 18's Coach

BALLYMENA United are pleased to appoint David Hanna as head coach for the U18's.
David is no stranger to local football, playing for Wakehurst FC and coaching up through the ranks at Carniny Amateur and Youth FC, and is also a life long Ballymena United supporter.

He brings a wealth of experience coaching youth players having developed his skills and knowledge with Carniny for 12 years, where he gained his UEFA B Licence and is currently enrolled on the A Licence course.
Bryan McLoughlin commented, "as part of a restructure of the youth set up we put the feelers out into the community to see what top talent is on our doorstep and David's experience and reputation stood out as exactly what we were looking for. Aware that he was with Carniny, we wanted to do things the right way and approached the club with a request to offer David the opportunity to step up to lead the U18's in the NIFL Academy League. It's clear to see how Carniny have developed him as a coach and we'll benefit from that, and we hope he'll continue to develop himself further here. At the same time we've been pleased to further develop our relationship with Carniny, and strengthen the pathway for the best local players who strive to make it to the top levels of Irish League football."
