NHS Heroine Sports Bond Agent
Uploaded Monday, 27th Jul, 2020 at 08:54

THIS week we salute an NHS front line worker who is also a Sports Bond agent. During this Covid pandemic Margaret Downey has been working long and exhausting hours in Antrim Area Hospital.
The huge sky blue fan is also a Sports Bond agent and this week had a £50 major winner with James McCarry (A6795), I am sure James, with us all, want to say a sincere thank you to Margaret and other NHS staff for their terrific work during the pandemic and before.

Life is sweet for Michael Thompson (A9292) at the moment, enjoying his retirement and as a Chelsea fan looking forward to another FA Cup Final this Saturday. The yearly payer was a £50 major winner this week which virtually pays his next years subscription! Nice one Michael.

In the minor section family connections saw Sports Bond agent Janice Martin have a £10 winner with son Darren Crawford (B6509) and down in Larne Aden McRoberts (A8920) was a £10 winner. His brother Thomas was a £50 major winner a couple of weeks ago. Both are members on Maurice Anderson's agency.

The Jackpot continues to rise as it was not allocated with the numbers 7, 11, 24 and 27, this week £350 is on offer.
Agents News
Happy birthday to Margaret Boyd who has been a great worker for Sports Bond these last few years collecting in the Kells area.

Belated greetings to Roy Heron of Ballykeel who celebrated a birthday recently.

At last a date in August is cleared for the opening of public bars. Hopefully this will allow some of our agents in this area to become active again.
New Agent
Often we approach club sponsors for help but now we have a well known club sponsor approaching us to become a Sports Bond agent! Tony McCallam, a lifetime Sky Blue fan, is proprietor of TM Flooring on Mill Street. Already a Sports Bond member Tony is now a Sports Bond agent and is running his agency from TM Flooring on Mill Street. So if you work in the town centre or know Tony call in to TM Flooring and join up. Thanks Tony, good to have you on board.
Direct Canvassing
Direct canvassing was in Ballymena and Ahoghill this past week and brought on new members. Direct canvassing will be continuing this week.
First Score
Two First Scores are on distribution for the Irish Cup semi final and FA Cup final. Should the club win the semi final against Coleraine a First Score will be issued at short notice for the final on Friday 31st. Support the club by getting a First Score card at £1.
Sympathy is extended to former club captain Gary Haveron on the sudden death of his father Cyril. Brian Thompson said Cyril and his wife Elaine were regular visitors when Gary played for the club for many seasons. We would also extend our heartfelt sympathy to Elaine.
