Champions Linfield sent United out of the Toals Co Antrim Shield at the semi-final stage last season, a brace from Andrew Waterworth enough to secure the win for the Blues, who went on to lose to Crusaders in the final. Despite losing to Cliftonville at the weekend, the Braidmen will have taken positives out of a much improved performance while aiming to reach the first final of the season.
