Institute:
Insitute have had a poor start to their campaign, with one win, one draw and 7 defeats in the league, leaving them in 11th place on 4 points. Their single draw came away to Coleraine in August, and they got their first win of the league campaign last weekend at the expense of bottom placed side Warrenpoint Town with a 3-1 win at Milltown Playing Fields.

A 3-2 win over PSNI in the second round of the BetMcLean League Cup in August has set 'Stute up for a third round home game against Harland & Wolff Welders. They were knocked out of the North-West Senior Cup after drawing 2-2 after extra-time then losing 5-3 on penalties at home to Limavady United.
Ballymena United:
It's been a testing start to the season for United, with injuries and suspensions playing a big part, but they're 3 points better off than at the same stage last season, with 4 wins, 2 draw and 2 defeats leaving them 6th in the league with 14 points and a game in hand over 3rd placed Coleraine.

Last weekend United played host to Cliftonville and, after going into half-time 1-0 down, came out and turned it around to a 2-1 win with goals from Andrew McGrory and an own goal from Conor McDermott.
