BALLYMENA United host Swedish side Malmo FF at the Ballymena Showgrounds on Thursday evening in the 2nd leg of the UEFA Europa League 1st Qualifying Round.
After a resounding 7-0 defeat in Malmo last week, United know they are playing only for pride and experience in this return leg.
Malmo FF:
Since the 1st leg last Thursday evening, Malmo FF played, and drew, with 3rd placed Djurgarden at the Tele2 Arena in Stockholm, while their closest rivals in the Swedish Allsvenkan, AIK defeated Elfsborg 3-0 to pull back 2 points on the leaders.
Malmo will put that result behind them ahead of their next league game, at home to Sirius on Sunday afternoon, and aim for a morale boosting away victory in Europe.
Those fans who travelled to Sweden know how much respect was shown between the two
Ballymena United:
United will probably approach the game with the aim of keeping the game tight and improving their fitness, but they'll definitely give 100% and hope to give the supporters amongst the home crowd who were unable to make the 1st leg an experience they won't forget in a hurry.
Captain Jim Ervin said "We'll give it everything and try to give a good account of ourselves. We'll do our best to get as much out of it as we can to build our fitness in preparation for the new season."
