BALLYMENA United get their post-split fixtures underway when they take on league leaders Linfield at the Showgrounds on Friday evening.
The sides last met in February, when Linfield ran out 1-0 winners at home with a second half goal from Josh Robinson.

Since the game in February between the sides, Linfield have defeated Newry City 1-0 away, Institute 2-0 at home and Dungannon Swifts 5-0 at Stangmore Park. They've also lost a league fixture 2-0 to Glenavon at Mourneview Park and were defeated 4-3 by Crusaders in the final of the Toals Co Antrim Shield.

Sitting 9 points ahead of United at the top of the table, the Blues are in prime position to win the league with just 5 games left and, if they can win on Friday evening, it's possible that they'll lift the Gibson Cup next weekend when they host Crusaders.

United have defeated Cliftonville 2-1 at the Showgrounds, Coleraine 4-0 away from home and Institute 6-1 at home, but have been set back with home losses to Glentoran and Warrenpoint Town.
