Linfield:
The Blues sit at the top of the league, a single point ahead of United, who had jumped above them last Friday night with a win away to Newry City. Over the past month Linfield have beaten Glentoran in tonight's competition, secured a place in the BetMcLean League Cup semi-finals with a win over Institute, along with 3 wins, 1 draw and 1 defeat in the Danske Bank Premiership.

In this seasons Toals Co Antrim Shield, they ran out 2-1 winners over PSNI at home and Glentoran by the same score in the quarter-finals.
Ballymena United:
As our next two games are against Linfield it's going to be a tough week for the Sky Blues, particularly after the incredibly tough battle against Newry City on Friday. United are now unbeaten in 13 games in all competitions, and have won their last 8, taking them to second place in the league.

United eased through the previous stages of the shield to reach this semi-final, hammering Harland & Wolff Welders 5-0 and Ballyclare Comrades 3-0, both at the Showgrounds.
Information for both sets of supporters:
Ballymena United supporters will enter through the Ecos end of the ground, although those on foot can enter via Farm Lodge if approaching from the Town end of the ground. After the game, supporters wishing to leave via Farm Lodge will be subject to a short delay.

Linfield supporters will enter through the Warden Street entrance.
Match Information:
Admission is payable at the gate.

Kick off is 7:45pm.

If the scores are level after 90 minutes, 2 additional 10 minute periods of extra-time will be played. If the scores are level after extra-time, the match will be settled by a penalty shootout.
The stakes are high for both sides, with a place in the final of the Toals Co Antrim Shield and 3 crucial league points up for grabs at the weekend. We'd love you see you at the Showgrounds being United's 12th man, as you always do, loud and proud in support of YOUR team - Come On Sky Blues!
