BALLYMENA United are on the road on Friday night when they travel to face Newry City in the Danske Bank Premiership.
The last time the sides met was the first game back at the Ballymena Showgrounds after the new pitch was laid over the summer, and it was a positive result, United winning 3-0 with goals from Leroy Millar, Cathair Friel and Andrew McGrory.
Latest results v Newry City (all league unless stated):
Ballymena United 3-0 Newry City, Ballymena Showgrounds, 6th October 2018. Att: 1005
Newry City:
Since the game in October, Newry City have won a single game, drawn one and lost six - their first win in that period coming with a 2-0 home win over Ards on Saturday afternoon. That win moved them above Ards in the Danske Bank Premiership table with 11 points, a single point behind 10th placed Dungannon Swifts.

Newry were knocked out of the Mid-Ulster Cup at the quarter-final stage by neighbours Warrenpoint Town, and lost their BetMcLean League Cup third round tie to Portadown on penalties after the sides couldn't be separated in 120 minutes of play.
Ballymena United:
The win over Newry in October sparked an excellent run of form for the Sky Blues, who now sit 2nd in the league table, behind leaders Linfield, with just a single draw and no defeats in their last twelve games.

United have secured places in both the Toals Co Antrim Shield semi-finals, where they will host Linfield next Tuesday evening, and the BetMcLean League Cup semi-finals, where they will face Crusaders in December.

Manager David Jeffrey restated on Thursday that the main aim for United this season is to finish in the top six as, although a win over Newry would put the Sky Blues on top of the league, there is still only 9 points separating the teams in the top half. Wrap up warm and make your way to Newry Showgrounds on Friday night and be loud and proud in support of YOUR team - Come On Sky Blues!
