BALLYMENA United travel to Bangor Fuels Arena on Tuesday evening to face Ards in the quarter-finals of the BetMcLean League Cup.
The sides met last at Bangor Fuels Arena in August when Mark Kelly opened the scoring for the home side, but second half goals from James Knowles and Shane McGinty gave United the victory.

In their last 9 games Ards have won twice, a 4-1 away win at Dergview at the last stage of the BetMcLean League Cup and a 2-1 league win over Linfield at home, held Dungannon Swifts to a 2-2 draw at home and lost to Cliftonville, Institute, Warrenpoint Town, Larne, Glentoran and, on Saturday afternoon, to Crusaders. Ards currently sit 11th in the table, two points ahead of Newry City who have a game in hand over them.

They've reached the quarter-finals of the BetMcLean League Cup with a 3-2 win over Newington YC at home and a 4-1 away win over Dergview.

In the last 9 games the Sky Blues have been unbeaten, drawing a single game 1-1 at home to Dungannon Swifts, beating Newry City, Harland & Wolff Welders twice, Institute, Ballyclare Comrades, Crusaders, Glenavon and, over the past weekend, Glentoran. The recent run of good form has left United third in the league, four points behind Linfield with a game in hand.

In the BetMcLean League Cup the Braidmen defeated Dollingstown at Dixon Park, Ballyclare, 5-1 with goals from Cathair Friel (2), Leroy Millar (2) and Adam Lecky, reaching the quarter-finals with a 1-0 win over Harland & Wolff Welders thanks to a single goal from Jude Winchester.
