BALLYMENA United host Harland & Wolff Welders in the first round of this seasons Toals Co Antrim Shield on Tuesday evening.
It was only last week that Ballymena United knocked the Welders out of the BetMcLean League Cup at the Showgrounds with an injury time with a winner from Jude Winchester.

Harland & Wolff Welders:
The Welders have had a good start to their season, winning 5 of their Bluefin Sport Championship ties, drawing 1, and losing 4, leaving them in 5th place in the league with 16 points.

Their most recent game was a 2-1 away to Knockbreda in the league on Saturday afternoon.
Ballymena United:
The Sky Blues got their home campaign underway just over a week ago, starting with a resounding 3-0 victory over Newry City, goals coming from Leroy Millar, Cathair Friel and Andrew McGrory, followed by the BetMcLean League Cup win over the Welders. On Saturday afternoon United defeated Institute 2-1 at the Brandywell, Cathair Friel opening the scoring minutes into the second half and James Knowles adding a second from the penalty spot in the 68th minute before a late consolation goal by Joseph McCready.

This moved United up into 4th place in the Danske Bank Premiership, two points behind Crusaders with a game in hand.
Match Officials:
Referee: Tony Clarke. Assistant 1: Stephen Donaldson. Assistant 2: Andrew Neeson.
