BALLYMENA United travel to Solitude to face Cliftonville on Tuesday night in their first league game of 2018.
The sides last met at Solitude in November, Cliftonville running out 1-0 winners thanks to a 70th minute goal.

Since the meeting in November the Reds have defeated Warrenpoint Town at Milltown Playing Fields and Glentoran at Solitude, losing to Linfield at The National Stadium and Crusaders at Seaview then, in their last game of 2017 on Saturday they drew 0-0 at home to league leaders Coleraine.

As was the case before the last encounter between United and Cliftonville, they currently sit in 4th place in the league, 10 points ahead of the Sky Blues.
Ballymena United:
In the same period United have defeated Ballinamallard United and Carrick Rangers at home, lost to Crusaders at Seaview, drew away against derby rivals Coleraine and, in their last game of 2017 came away with an excellent 3-1 win over 3rd placed Glenavon.

The win on Saturday allowed the Braidmen to jump back above Glentoran into the top half of the table.
