Ards haven't won in the league since 1st October when they defeated Carrick Rangers in Bangor, although they were awarded the three points after Portadown, who won the game 3-1, played an ineligible player last weekend. They are one of only three sides to have beaten Ballymena United in the league this season, and they knocked the Sky Blues out of the Toals Co Antrim Shield just over a week ago.
Ballymena United:
Ballymena United got back to winning ways last weekend by defeating Ballinamallard United 4-0 at the Showgrounds. This came after the defeat to Ards in the Toals Co Antrim Shield and a 5-0 hammering by Glenavon at Mourneview Park in the league, the first loss after an unbeaten streak of 10 games. The Braidmen will be hoping to keep up with the sides above them in the table with a victory at Bangor Fuels Arena.
