Carrick Rangers:
Having narrowly avoided a relegation play-off last season, Carrick Rangers are now under new management in the form of ex-Portadown assistant Kieran Harding.

Over the summer they have lost numerous players, Conor McCloskey signing for Ballymena United, Aaron Harmon moving to Glentoran, Andrew Doyle and James Taylor joining Glenavon, Ben Roy leaving to join Dundela, Kyle Cherry going to Ards and Ryan Arthur heading to Larne.

Former United players Mark Surgenor, Paddy McNally and Nathan Hanley are all part of the Carrick playing staff now and they sit level on points with the Braidmen.
Ballymena United:
United have been poor defensively so far this season, conceding a total of 13 goals in their opening 4 games, although Ross Glendinning did help keep a clean sheet against Ballinamallard United a fortnight ago.

Last weekend seen the Sky Blues lose to an 89th minute goal at the hands of Ards in a 7 goal thriller, and manager David Jeffrey will be expecting a lot more composure throughout the team on Friday night.
