Ards Match Preview
Uploaded Friday, 19th Aug, 2016 at 12:26

BALLYMENA United host newly promoted Ards at the Showgrounds on Saturday afternoon.
The last time the two sides met ended in a 1-1 draw at the Showgrounds, James McCabe scoring for United.
Latest results v Ards (all league unless stated):
Ballymena United 1-1 Ards, Ballymena Showgrounds, 26th April 2014. Att: 393
Ards 0-0 Ballymena United, Bangor Fuels Arena, 1st January 2014. Att: 420
Ballymena United 4-2 Ards, Ballymena Showgrounds, 16th November 2013. Att: 616
Ards 2-0 Ballymena United, Bangor Fuels Arena, 30th August 2013. Att: 440
Having finished top of Belfast Telegraph Championship 1 last season, Ards were automatically promoted into the Danske Bank Premiership. They've got off to a flying start and currently sit level on points with Crusaders and Glenavon at the top of the table with 7 points, thanks to a draw against Cliftonville and victories over Dungannon Swifts and Portadown.

Johnny Taylor will miss the game after receiving a red card last weekend, but United could be facing ex-players Michael Ruddy and Gary Liggett.
Ballymena United:
United have lost to Crusaders at Seaview, drawn with Glenavon at the Showgrounds, and won last weekend at Ballinamallard, leaving them in 6th place in the table on 4 points.

The win and clean sheet last weekend will have given the team a lot of confidence, but no match in this league is easy and it'll take a performance on the level seen last week to have a chance against Ards.
