BALLYMENA United visit Seaview to play Crusaders in their first game of the 2016/17 Danske Bank Premiership.
The last time the sides met was in March, in what was David Jeffrey's first game in charge of the Braidmen. The game ended in a scoreless draw and was the first clean sheet for United since a 1-0 win over Carrick Rangers in January.

Crusaders won the Danske Bank Premiership for the second time in a row last season and always prove to be a strong team.

There could be some familiar faces in the Crusaders starting line-up, with ex-United players Sean O'Neill, Craig McClean, David Cushley and Richard Vauls all playing at Seaview now.
Ballymena United:
After finishing a disappointing 8th in the league last season, but since manager David Jeffrey was appointed in March he has made a raft of changes throughout the club, including a huge shake up of the playing staff.

United played 7 pre-season friendly matches, with two different squads sent out at the same time on three occasions to give the players and coaching staff plenty of time to prepare for the new season.
