Uploaded Sunday, 12th Jan, 2020 at 19:51

THE first Sports Bond draw of a new decade saw a few familiar names as winners.
Claire Weir (A8177) of Kells won £50 in 2019 and now has repeated the feat in 2020! Sky Blue fan Brian Ward (A9995) got off the new year to a good start with a £50 major win. Sports Bond agent David Brown had a good end to 2019 and has started 2020 well with a £50 win for Samuel Magill Snr who has won previously.

In 2019 Benn McGarry (B1641) joined Sports Bond and this week he had his first win. We hope for more in 2020 for Benny. That well known canine Sports Bond member Max Patterson (B3670) who has won now on a number of occasions was also a £10 winner. For those who don't know Max is agent Tommy Patterson's loved dog! Georgia Russell (B4773) completed a trio of 'B' numbers when she won our final £10 this week.

The Jackpot of £500, halfway to a maximum £1000, was not won with the numbers 1, 15, 19 and 20 so it stands at £550 for this week.
New Year Draw
The New Year's Day draw winners are now receiving their prizes. A nice gesture by Yvonne Wylie who won a bottle of spirits, Yvonne and family are big Ballymena United fans and she has asked for her prize to be used to raise funds in a future promotion. Many thanks Yvonne for your kind gesture.
Walk of Hope
The Co Antrim Shield Final has given Brian Thompson the opportunity for another Walk of Hope for BraveheartsNI. As normal most of the walk will be completed before 21st January however the day of the Final Brian will walk from the Showgrounds through the town for a moving collection. This walk will have added significance. At the end of 2019 Ballymena United supporter Nathan Gilmore and partner Danielle sadly lost their baby Sam to a heart defect. At that time Nathan and Danielle received great support from Bravehearts NI and Clare Caulfield in particular. The couple have expressed their sincere thanks to Bravehearts NI and have asked for support for Brian's Walk of Hope. Brian and Nathan have been close friends over many years.
Agents News
Sports Bond and Ballymena United were saddened to learn of the passing of Davy Hanna. Davy had been a Sports Bond member for many years and was a member of the Seven Towers agency of Tommy Patterson. A lifelong Ballymena supporter he celebrated his 89th birthday the day we played Malmo. He will be sadly missed by all at the Showgrounds, a true supporter.
