Senior citizens love Sports Bond
Uploaded Sunday, 20th Nov, 2016 at 20:38

ANOTHER week of winners saw a 50/50 split on gender, however it was a good week for some of our senior citizens.
After the passing of her husband Mitchell Gaston, Sadie Gaston took over his membership and has been a frequent winner since. This week Sadie (A0176) was a £50 major winner, Sadie lives in Meadowvale and the estate had another major winner with James Kennedy (B7279) on the agency of Brett Thompson. The third major winner was Adam Gillespie (A7579) out in Cloughmills just like his uncle James a few months ago. Now father Michael is awaiting for his turn to become a Sports Bond winner.

Willy Donnelly (A6807) was a £10 winner, Willy was a major £50 winner recently, in Galgorm Maurice Anderson had a £10 winner with Elaine Young (B2186) and our final £10 winner was a other senior citizen Beryl Corbett (B0750).

No Jackpot was allocated with numbers 8, 9, 11 and 23 so if no one wins this weeks Jackpot at £950, then some Sports Bond member will be guaranteed £1000. No other draw comes near to Sports Bond value for only £1 per week. To join ring 07831 803970.
New Agent
As Sports Bond moves into its 16th year this last week saw a bit of Sports Bond history. For the first time we have an agent in Randalstown. Over the years we have had many great supporters in Randalstown from the late Curtis Spence to the irrepressible Alan Carson. Step forward Philip Millar, a young Sky Blue supporter. Phillip will run his own agency and with direct canvassing we hope to help grow it for Philip. Welcome aboard Philip. Agents are needed in other areas, come forward and help the club.
First Score
Joe Hayes, last years Christmas draw winner, was the First Score winner at Warrenpoint in the League Cup, Cathair Friel's opening goal was recorded on 69 minutes and Joe picked up £30 which made the long journey seem worthwhile. Next First Score this week at Solitude.
Christmas Draw
As we mentioned Joe Hayes won last years Christmas draw and had 500L of oil delivered by McCurdy Fuels. To whose address will McCurdy's lorry be heading to after this years Christmas draw. Tickets go on sale this week at £1 each.
The Walk of Hope
The week sees Brian Thompsons next Walk of Hope to Solitude. By the time you read this Brian has already completed part of his challenge. On Sunday morning he set off from Ballymena Showgrounds and through freezing fog and temperatures along icy pavements and roads he made his way through the town, up the A6 to Antrim, along the Belfast Road to Templepatrick where he re-commences on Saturday morning at 8am. Again the chosen charity will be Bravehearts NI for this "Walk of Hope".
