Happy Birthday Sports Bond 15 Years Going Strong
Uploaded Sunday, 6th Nov, 2016 at 21:26

THIS week marked Sports Bonds 15th birthday. In that time Sports Bond has played an important role in Ballymena United success.
When it started Ballymena were in the bottom three of the first division, now they are in the top three of the premier division. Down the years there have been many memorable moments, 1000 Jackpot winners by the dozen, agents doing wonderful collections in all kinds of weather, winners often donating their winnings to charity. Over the years the back bone of Sports Bond have been our agents passionate to the core they have all been wonderful. Sadly a few have passed and at times like this we remember such characters as John Davison, Geoff Cooke, Noel Brown, Marlene Foster and Uel Campbell. As we move forward let us all celebrate, apart from our club sponsor, no other individual or body has contributed more to Ballymena in financial help than Sports Bond.

This week saw a former 1000 winner, Wilnor O'Neill (A2422) win a major 50, also a winner on the P Thompson agency was Linda McCooke (A4635) in Beech Drive. Another former Jackpot winner is Sports Bond agent David Brown, this week David had a 50 winner with Robin Elliott (A2660).

In the minor 10 section two lady agents had winners, they were Janice Christie with WJ McLaughlin (B7906), WJ is probably our male member with the most wins. In Cullybackey Julie Moore had a 10 winner with Leeann Doyle (A1526). The final 10 winner was in Antrim on the agency of Alastair Shaw and was David Craig (A8708).

No Jackpot was allocated with the numbers 1, 11, 16 and 28 so a Jackpot of 850 is on call this week for some member. To join Sports Bond ring Brian Thompson on 07831 803970. Sports Bond is licensed by Mid and East Antrim Council.
First Score
The Social Club supporters are having a great season on First Score. Following the success of Tommy Cavan with 3 wins so far this season the latest member of that section of our away support has had another winner with Eugene Reynolds. Eugene collected 30 for a 35 minute card. Had Tony Kane delayed his kick by 5 seconds Eugene could have lost out, so close it was. A First Score is on sale for the Northern Ireland against Azerbaijan on Friday night.
Christmas Draw
This years Christmas draw will be on Boxing Day against Coleraine. It will go on sale in a few weeks time, tickets are priced at 1. Help make it a great end to the year for Ballymena United by selling tickets.
Walk of Hope
The Walk of Hope to Mourneview Park undertaken by Brian Thompson for Bravehearts NI charity realised 93.81.
