World Suicide Prevention Day 2016
Uploaded Thursday, 8th Sep, 2016 at 14:57

With thanks to Ballymena United Football Club, Turning Point NI will be raising awareness of World Suicide Prevention Day through a collection and distribution of flyers at the Showgrounds this Saturday 10th September 2016.
We would welcome both fans from Ballymena United and Cliftonville to help with this great cause as suicide within the community is still rising, especially in men. Recent statistics show that men are at a greater risk of completing suicide with 2015 records stating that out of the 318 deaths registered 245 were males.
Turning Point NI would like to take this great opportunity during the football match to raise much needed awareness of the services they deliver in the Ballymena and Antrim areas. Our efforts is too reduce suicides through our crisis intervention centres and reach out to those people in despair by giving them the opportunity to walk-in to our centres and receive immediate support and guidance to recover from suicidality.
