Information for all Supporters attending Coleraine match

BALLYMENA United have called for supporters attending Saturdays derby game between United and Coleraine to help make the day a success by asking both sets of supporters to follow these simple points.
1. Ballymena United supporters should arrive by either the ECOS entrance or Suffolk Street entrance.
2. Stewards will be on hand to check tickets and supporters will be directed to the correct turnstile.
3. All supporters should be on their best behaviour and remember the following are offences under the Criminal Justice Act NI 2011 in relation to soccer matches: -

  • Possession of Fireworks/Flares etc.
  • Throwing Articles capable of causing injury
  • Throwing Articles capable of causing injury
  • Sectarian Chanting
  • Drinking on Passenger Carrying Vehicles
  • 4. In addition, all supporters are reminded that areas around the town and stadium are "No Street Drinking" zones under council by-laws. Any street drinking will be dealt with and any alcohol found seized.
    5. Any public indecency offences such as urinating in public will be robustly dealt with.
    6. Maximum use of CCTV and/or hand held evidence gathering will be made both inside and outside of the stadium as part of the Police Criminal Justice Strategy in an effort to deal with any offences which come to light. Police, with the full support of Ballymena United Football Club, will take all steps to identify and deal with anyone who has been or is committing offences.
    7. It is vitally important for supporter and community safety that these instructions are complied with and that the impact of the event on the local residential and business communities in minimised.
