THE Boss provides a team update as another name is added to the injury list, and news of U20's coaches stepping down.
Harbinson and Moody to leave at end of season
Ballymena United can announce that the U20's staff team of Paul Harbinson and Gareth Moody have advised the Manager that they will be stepping down at the end of the season. Both men were appointed to their positions shortly after David Jeffrey and Bryan McLoughlin took charge of the first team.
Both Harbinson and Moody "greatly enjoyed our time at Ballymena United FC and feel now is the appropriate time to seek out new challenges. We don't know what the next chapter holds for us but we will always remain Ballymena United supporters as a result of the warmth extended to us during our time and we hope in some way that our paths may cross again.

David and Bryan have been incredibly supportive of all that we have sought to do and have given us opportunity to learn from the very best. We feel that we have made friendships and mentors for life."
Manager David Jeffrey was full of praise for the pair, "we would like to thank Gareth and Paul for their effort, hard work, diligence and commitment to Bryan, myself and Ballymena United.

They worked closely with Joe McCall down through the U18's, U16's and right through the Youth Academy. Since their appointment, their service to the club has been exceptional, and we fully understand their reasoning and wish to pursue their own career development and improvement as coaches. It is honourable for Paul and Gareth in saying that they do not want to go through the motions next season, so to speak, waiting for an opportunity to arise that they would wish to pursue.
Bryan, myself and the Chairman on behalf of the rest of the club want to thank Paul and Gareth and wish both gentlemen all the very best for the future. They will leave at the end of the season knowing that they will always be welcome at Ballymena United."
Speaking on the space that will be left by their departure, David added, "the task now is for Bryan and myself to identify a suitable replacement. Having just received the news, we have no one in mind yet, but have another few weeks to identify someone who will bring the same attributes as Paul and Gareth did; hard working, committed, enthusiastic and a desire to work with us as part of the senior staff team to develop young players to challenge for first team spaces as Kofi Balmer, Fra Nolan and Matthew Shevlin have gone on to do.
Ultimately this is a great opportunity for the right person who wants to join the journey that we are on."
Injury Update
In terms of our injury list, the updates with regards to Knowles, Harpur, Reece Glendinning, McDermott, Burns and Friel remain largely the same as last week, and we continue to monitor the rehabilitation and recover of all of the above.
Unfortunately, this week we add Jude Winchester to the list. He had to retire early against Linfield and has been in such good form, but we hope that this settles and all we can do is monitor his recovery. He will not be in the squad for Saturday's match.
