Uploaded Sunday, 17th Mar, 2019 at 21:53

SOMETIMES headlines create themselves and that certainly was true on this weeks Sports Bond.
Firstly this last week saw the famous Cheltenham racing festival, now would you believe it that Sports Bond agent with a great racing name i.e. Horse n Jockey on Bryan Street would have two £50 major winners. You could not have dreamed that one up! First £50 winner was that of the lady who runs the agency Francine Warwick (A5823), Francine last year was a £1000 Jackpot winner and recently had some challenges in her life so we are delighted to see her win another £50. Joining her from the Horse n Jockey "stable" is Eddie Maxwell (B9071) and this may be Eddie's first major win. Out in Ahoghill Paul Legget (A7826) is a happy chappie, recently he won a £10 minor prize and now he has a £50 win on Maurice Anderson's agency.

A few weeks ago Brian Campbell (C0229) was a £10 winner and now he has won another £10. David Brown had a £10 winner with sister Janette Forsythe (A4070) and another lady member who won £10 was Ashley Kernohan (A4609) on the agency of Vicki Gregg.

Jackpot for this week is £300 after numbers 6, 15, 24 and 27 saw no Jackpot allocated.

Sympathy is extended to member Jim Johnston on the passing of his brother Brian in London.
First Score
Another winner has been found from the derby match at Coleraine Showgrounds. David Boyd had a winning 30 minute card. This was David's first ever win on First Score and he has been a regular player since the game began 17 years ago. So well done to David for being persistent!
Player Sponsor
This Saturday against Warrenpoint we welcome Steve and Helen Griffiths from Swansea. They are Conor Quigley's Player Sponsor and Conor stayed in accommodation belonging to them while an apprentice at Swansea. We hope they enjoy their visit with us at Ballymena Showgrounds.
Grand Sports Draw
This weekend last year’s first prize winner Bobby Crossey and nephew Peter Toal flew to Paris to see Paris St Germain play Marseille courtesy of PSG head groundsman Jonathan Calderwood. Jonathan met them on the Saturday for a guided tour of the stadium, gave them their tickets plus passes to the players' lounge! What a marvellous treat.
