Tracey Wins Jackpot in 900th Week Draw
Uploaded Monday, 18th Feb, 2019 at 08:41

THERE were celebrations at Ballymena golf course where staff member Tracey Hughes became our latest £1000 Jackpot winner.
Previously Tracey had only won a £10 prize however in this, the 900th week of Sports Bond, Tracey's Jackpot numbers of 3, 4, 5 and 7 came good and Tracey became our latest woman Jackpot winner following on from the success of Francine Warwick. As Tracey is off in April on a family holiday the Jackpot will come in very handy. Congratulations Tracey.

We were also delighted to see Adrienne Watson (A3287) win a £50 major prize, Adrienne is a great follower of Ballymena United fortunes. A first £50 win for Derek Connor (C2226) on the agency of Maurice Anderson, Derek lives in Ahoghill while over in Cullybackey Julie Moore had a £50 winner with Robert Harkness (B1857), again this is Roberts first £50 win.

The £10 winners were all based in Ballymena and were previous winners and are Anthony McCartney (B8839), Martha Magill (A1728) and Gordon Blair (A2685).

So our 900th week draw has come and gone and another female member has come out as a Jackpot winner. To join Sports Bond ring 078 3180 3970 or 028 2564 1886 (Tuesdays). You might just be our next £1000 winner.
First Score
The Bet McLean First Score produced a unique situation as we had one person with two winning cards! The winning time was 15 minutes (14.46). Now Willy Adair ran two double decker busses from The Fountain Bar and as normal he was given two envelopes with 20 cards in each envelope. As it happened both were from different packs and Willy sold most in the Empire Club where they stopped en route but kept 10 for himself and incredibly had 2 winning cards. We never had a situation like this before commented Brian Thompson. So Willy gets £30 for the first and £60 for the second, a joint win of £90 for Willy! Nigel McIlrath and David Galbraith on 2 wins and looking for a magical third for a season ticket next season.
Another winner was Jonathan Anderson over from Scotland for the final with friend Angela Pilley, a dentist from Dundee. Jonathan loves United promotions, he won tickets for the North West in May, joined Sports Bond and won £10 last week, he also picks up £30.

There are other winners out there particularly on the Sky Blue express as there was a full sold on it. To claim ring 07831 803970. Thanks to all who sold or bought tickets, First Score is a firm favourite amongst the Sky Blue faithful.
Geordie Boys!
Player sponsor John Pogue of Mountfield Products Co Durham came over to the final with good friends Ian Young and Graham Souleby. John's mum originally came from The Grange area and he was delighted to be back in Northern Ireland. We were also delighted to have John over with us and by all accounts they had a great time commented Brian Thompson.
Walk of Hope
Another Walk of Hope was completed at Windsor on Saturday by Brian Thompson. This was his third Walk of Hope to the League Cup Final. On Saturday he will complete another Walk of Hope for BraveheartsNI for the league match with Linfield. In all this will be his 14th Walk of Hope to an Irish League ground. His first was to Taylors Avenue in April 2016. Linfield have granted BraveheartsNI a collection at the ground. This could well be Brian's last Walk of Hope so please support his effort for BraveheartsNI.
