Irish FA grants extension of 2019-20 Irish League season until 31 July

BALLYMENA United can announce that Caolan Loughran has chosen to go out on a season long loan to Carrick Rangers.
The centre half had previously indicated that he saw his future away from Ballymena United at this time, and was given permission to speak to other clubs.
Manager David Jeffrey spoke ahead of United's first pre-season training session.
"We had previously commented on the situation with Caolan and that after his spelll with Larne he told us that he wanted to speak to other clubs. We see Caolan as a Ballymena United player and our intention and hope always has been for him to return to pre-season and work towards a place in the team this year. However, the club are not going to stand in the way of a players wishes and we respect his decision."
