McGinty joins the Sky Blues

WITH the play offs just around the corner, we spoke to manager David Jeffrey tonight about looking ahead to next season and what supporters can expect.
We also received a nugget of "hot off the press" news...
"As stated at the awards night, I can guarantee supporters that Bryan McLoughlin, Paul McAreavey and myself have been working tirelessly behind the scenes to recruit and re-recruit for next season. Announcements about players futures and new signings have their right time and place and more will develop over the next few weeks in relation to this.
One player we are absolutely delighted to be able to announce this evening is that Shane McGinty will be a Sky Blue next season."

"He is an undoubted talent and has caught not only our eye, but we have had him on Paul McAreavey's radar for some time. After impressive performances this season we followed due process and informed Ballinamallard and Shane of our intentions to speak to him. To his absolute credit he wanted to give his full attention to Ballinamallard's fight to stay up before he would think about next season - an honourable and appreciated position which demonstrates the loyalty of the man. We were also aware not to distract from Harry McConkey's efforts over the past number of weeks and so met Shane and his father earlier this week to agree a two year deal which has been lodged with the IFA.
To say the three of us are delighted is an understatement, he was very keen to come to the Showgrounds, we were keen to have him here and he has been first class in his dealings with us.
As stated earlier, news of other signings will follow in due course, But we're announcing this now with him in mind and for clarity for other clubs who were also interested and would be looking to approach him - Shane McGinty is a Sky Blue."
